In Switzerland, tiny red trains cling to vertiginous cliff edges and picturesque waterfalls cascade into the prettiest of villages. Our photographer Jordan Banks captured Lucerne, Mount Pilatus and the verdant pastures and winding valleys of the Bernese Oberland for 4Corners, including the villages of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen and further south, lovely Lavertezzo with its Eyebrow Bridge over the Valle Verzasca. With such natural wonders on the doorstep is there any wonder that the Swiss are probably the most contented people in all of Europe?
