To many, the city of Dubrovnik is the iconic image of Croatia. Called The Pearl of the Adriatic and even “Paradise on Earth” by George Bernard Shaw, Dubrovnik has been admired for centuries and is now world famous; thanks in part to its starring role on the silver screen: it’s featured regularly in Game of Thrones and will be seen in Star Wars: Episode VIII, due for release at Christmas 2017. The filming for Robin Hood: Origins produced by Leonardo di Caprio, is also scheduled to start in 2017 when Dubrovnik stands in for…Nottingham.
But Dubrovnik is just the beginning - Croatia is home to many more natural and historic wonders worthy of admiration: There’s the fabulous Plitvice Lakes National Park, Diocletian’s Palace in Dalmatia’s Roman City of Split, the Kornati Archipelago and the islands of Hvar, Korčula and Mljet to name just a few; not to mention the capital city of Zagreb, which enjoys a lively café culture and a thriving food and drink scene.
Not only does 4Corners have the pictures of Croatia's most beautiful attractions, we pronounce them perfectly, too!
