This sinister take on portraying New York City reflects something of my own sentiments towards big cities. Anna Serrano's low camera angle makes one feel miniscule and vulnerable surrounded by the dark, tall leaning buildings. The grey, heavy clouds intensify the feeling and the street light doesn’t make the scene any brighter… The ‘Church Street’ sign placed like a plaque against the Freedom Tower seems strangely out of place in this hostile, Gotham City-like surroundings. Probably not a place you’d like to find yourself alone in after dark. Or at any time of day for that matter!
