Colin Dutton's shot of a lone figure crossing the Rialto Bridge in a foggy Venice is the most filmic image I know in the 4Corners collection. The location inevitably brings to mind Nicolas Roeg’s ‘Don’t Look Now’; you half expect to see a flash of red coat in the corner of the frame. But for me the scene is more redolent of a film set in Vienna, not Venice: Carol Reed’s ‘The Third Man’. It’s not too great a stretch to see the ghost of Harry Lime in the silhouetted figure even if, as I fear may be the case, it’s just someone on their way home from the shops.
