It’s no secret that I have a weakness for minimalistic frames. Little objects in vast spaces are definitely my thing. I’m drawn to such ‘empty’ images - I can’t help it - and I’ll prove it by posting a selection of images like this! I love the simplicity and scale of the landscape that Nick Ledger captured in this picture of the Yemeni desert. The three walking figures look so tiny compared with the dune behind them! The sand is so smooth that were it not for the rocks on the right of the frame, you could confuse the background for a beige infinity curve…
