Marsala Sicily Stock Photos

The English merchant John Woodhouse came to Marsala in Sicily during Napoleon’s Continental blockade in the 1700s. He fell in love with the local wine and decided to ship it to Britain. He added brandy to preserve it on the voyage… and boost its alcohol content! And so Marsala was born.
