Get away from the tourist trail and find a corner of Italy that has just as much to offer but without the crowds. In the Prosecco Hills, just north of Venice and on the edge of the Italian Alps, you'll find beautiful hidden landscapes just a short walk from the main roads. It's best to leave your car and walk or cycle along the myriad paths that trace through the hills and vineyards between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. In Autumn the vineyards are alive in a symphony of yellow and gold with the patterns of the vines marking the landscape. Try some local Prosecco while you're there and you may even forget Tuscany for a while. |
