In the mediaeval heart of Padua, there’s a fabulous open market called Sotto il Salone, founded in the 12th century. It’s where the lucky people of Padua buy the finest Italian foods every day. And it’s where you’ll find this well-fed white dog, waiting stoically for his owner Natale the butcher to finish the day’s work in the family shop.
