The city that never sleeps is viewed with camera; the photographer attempting to draw unique images that show something beyond the simple geometry of architecture. From above, the eye follows the network of the skyscrapers, giving meaning to a parallel world of unusual viewpoints. From overhead, our perspective is changed, and we have new visual solutions, as though the office window would give a new interpretation to the life that flows below, on the road. Central Park at night becomes a dense dark forest girdled by a backdrop of buildings. Times Square becomes a glittering world of plastic drenched in a dreamlike artificial light. If photography is about nailing the light, these images try to do just that.
