The Routeburn Track

A New Zealand Great Walk with images from Philip Lee Harvey

Famous the world over, the Routeburn Track in New Zealand’s South Island is a signed 20 mile (32km) walk through not one but two National Parks and some of the most spectacular mountain scenery New Zealand has to offer.

In a masterpiece of New Zealand Kiwi understatement, the tramping route through Fiordland National Park and Mount Aspiring National Park is simply called “A Great Walk”, one of nine official trails maintained by NZ’s Department of Conservation. Come and see 4Corners images of the Routeburn Track, featuring work from Philip Lee Harvey and you can see all our New Zealand here.
